Irish Countryside Ravens of County Antrim

Mated pair of ravens in the Irish countryside watch over the goings-on of a humble thatched roof cottage that is in their territory. Wild bird tile art portrait.

Common raven, “fiach dubh” in Irish-Gaelic. These birds are very intelligent, entertaining and held in high regard in many cultures, especially in Celtic and Irish lore and legend.
The background landscape is taken from the County Antrim in Northeast Ireland with the area’s famous hedgerows.
Native animals and critters use the hedgerows for food, protection and hiding places.
Hedgerows are also used for lines of demarcation and boundaries by the people living in the area.
Custom designed and hand painted on a single 12 inch ceramic tile.
