Zen Garden & Kamon Emblems for Yuko

Main painting features Zen garden with weeping Sakura or cherry blossom tree seen through partially open Shoji doors. Kitchen wall and backsplash tile art.

Accent tiles feature rope sacred knot, paper chain with sacred knot, whirlpools, islands, and ten kamon or Japanese family crest (heraldry) emblem tiles. All of the scenes are painted in typical ukiyoe method or style.
Kamon are Japanese emblems used to decorate and identify an individual or family.
The particular kamon designs shown were specified by Yuko’s family.
Custom designed, hand painted on 4 inch, 6 inch and 12 inch ceramic tiles.
